SECTION I. PRINTING
macOS (personally-owned Macs, MacBook Airs, MacBook Pros)
- Before you can print to a school printer/copier from your Mac, you must have admin rights on your personal Mac to add a printer. If you are not allowed to have admin rights or do not know an admin password and you have an iPhone, please skip down to the iPhone OS/iPadOS instructions to print.
- Make sure the Wi-Fi is on, and you are signed into the Viewpoint network with your school credentials. Remember your Viewpoint username will not include the "@Viewpoint.org" at the end.
- Please see the Librarian, or MS Office, or US Office, if you do not know your Viewpoint username and password to get on the "Viewpoint" WiFi.
- Click on the Apple logo in the upper-left corner, then click on System Preferences
- Click on Printers & Scanners
- Click on "+" on the bottom to add printer.
- Your should see a "xerox-followme" printer available by Bonjour (aka AirPrint)
- Click to select "xerox-followme" and then "Add"
- In most cases, you will be prompted for your admin account password to add the printer. Please get that from your parents/guardians if your account is not an admin.
- When done adding, it should look similar to this:
- Open the file you need to print.
- Click File -> Print (or press Command+P), and select "Xerox-FollowMe"
- Adjust the options you need (number of copies, page range, and etc.)
- Click Print
- First time users will get prompted for username and password. Enter your Viewpoint username/password (same one for myViewpoint).
(also do *not* include the @Viewpoint.org)
- For example, if you sign into your laptop as admin, you would change it to your Viewpoint username and password.
- Remember to put a checkbox next to the box next to "Remember this password in my keychain" so that you will not have to do this again.
- Click OK.
It will remember your username and password the next time, so next time, you will skip this step and go right to SECTION II. PRINT RELEASE.
- Skip down to SECTION II. PRINT RELEASE
iPhoneOS / iPadOS (personally-owned iPhones, iPads, iPad Mini, iPad Pro)
- Make sure your iPhone/iPad is on the "Viewpoint" WiFi with your school credentials. This will *NOT* work on the WiFi's SSID of ViewpointGuest, or with WiFi off.
- Check for this in the Settings:
- Make sure there's a check by Viewpoint.
- Please see a Librarian, or visit the MS Office or visit the US Office, if you do not know your Viewpoint username and password, you will need it in the next step.
- Open/Switch to the document, image, picture file, web page, Word file, Excel file, PowerPoint file, Google Docs, Google Slides, Photoshop file, image, poster, picture, or any other printable file, or app, you need to print.
- Tap on the Share button. Sometimes it located in the upper-right-corner.
- Sometimes it is located in the lower-left-corner.
- Tap and scroll-down to Print.
- Tap "Select Printer"
- It will may briefly show a "Looking for Printers..."
- Tap to select "xerox-followme"
- It will prompt you to enter in your _school_ username and password.
- **This is also the same username/password you would use for myViewpoint. Please remember do *not* include the @Viewpoint.org ***
- Tap OK
It will remember your username and password the next time, so next time, you will skip this step and go right to SECTION II. PRINT RELEASE. - The job has been sent to the copier/printer. Skip down to SECTION II. PRINT RELEASE.
Android tablets and phones (personally owned)
- Because there are many more variations of Android than any other OS here, this assumes you have the Google Play store app.
- Look for this icon before proceeding:
- Make sure your mobile device is on the Viewpoint Wi-Fi with your school credentials.
- For most, please confirm this under Settings -> Connections -> Wi-Fi
- Make sure it is "Connected" to "Viewpoint." This will not work if your Android device is on "ViewpointGuest", or other WiFi, like a mobile hotspot.
- Please see a Librarian, or go to MS Office or go to US Office, if you do not know your Viewpoint username and password.
- Tap to start the Play Store
- Make sure you are on "Apps" and tap where it is written "Search for apps & game"
- Start tapping in the words Mobility Print - it should be the first choice you see:
- Confirm this is created by PaperCut Software, and then Tap Install
- After installation completes, you will still need to complete a *ONE* time-only action of enabling of the Mobility Print Service and Notifications before you can print. Look for the Mobility Print icon and tap that icon.
- The first permission is the Mobility Print Service.
- Tap to confirm that Mobility Print Service is on, if not, tap to enable.
- It should looks similar to this when properly configured:
- Tap the lesser-than symbol "<" next to the word Printing to return to Mobility Print.
- The second permission is the Notifications, as you will need to this enter in your school username/password later.
- Please do the same thing here, enable any Off settings to On.
- So that the options look similar to this:
- Now you are ready to print.
- Open/Switch to the document, image, picture file, web page, Word file, Excel file, Powerpoint file, Google Docs, Google Slides, Photoshop file, image, picture, poster, or any other printable file, or app, you need to print.
- Usually the option to print is in the vertical ellipsis icon.
- Example in Gmail:
- Example in Yahoo Mail:
- But sometimes it requires one more step, like for example in Chrome, you need to tap "Share" or "Share & Export" first.
- And then you can choose Print
- Your Android device will then ask what printer to print to. The default is usually "Save as PDF." Tap on that to change it to "Xerox-FollowMe"
- Then tap the yellow printer icon in the upper-corner. You may get another warning about passing through more than one server. Please tap on "OK" to continue.
- Now you will need to enter in your school username and password this one time only.
- *** Do *NOT* use "Sign in With Google." ***
- **This is also the same username/password you would use for the Wi-Fi and myViewpoint. Please remember do *not* include the @Viewpoint.org ***
- Tap to put a check by the "Remember me" so that you will only have to do this once.
- Then tap "Sign in and print"
- The job has been sent to the copier/printer. Skip down to SECTION II. PRINT RELEASE.
Windows laptops / Windows PC (personally owned)
- Before you can print to a school printer, you must have admin rights to your PC so that you can download, and install the PaperCut Mobility Print, which will create a print queue. We cannot assist you in circumventing the admin password if you do not know it. But if you have an iPhone, you can forward the document to your phone and print from there.
- Make sure the WiFi is on, and you are signed into the Viewpoint network.
- Please see the Librarian, or MS Office or US Office, if you do not know your Viewpoint username and password to get on the "Viewpoint" Wi-Fi. There must be a blue check by it.
- Go to this page https://papercut.com/products/ng/mobility-print/download/client/windows/ to download the installer program. It should be a file called "pc-mobility-print-printer-setup-1.0.250.exe"
- Double-click on that
- Click Yes to install
- Leave it on English, click on OK
- Click on Next
- Click Next
- Now it will search for the "Xerox-FollowMe"
- Click Next
- Now you will need to enter in your school username and password this one time only.
- **This is also the same username/password you would use for the Wi-Fi and myViewpoint. Please remember do *not* include the @Viewpoint.org ***
- Click on Next
- It will now install the printer queue.
- Click on Finish to exit the installer.
- If you check your Printers you should see the new print queue look this like this:
- Open/Switch to the document, image, picture file, web page, Word file, Excel file, Powerpoint file, Google Docs, Google Slides, Photoshop file, or any other printable file you need to print.
- Click File -> Print, or pressing Ctrl+P, and select "Xerox-FollowMe"
- Click on Print.
- The job has been sent to the copier/printer. Skip down to SECTION II. PRINT RELEASE.

SECTION II. PRINT RELEASE
**Please go to a Xerox copier** Printers for students are in FFL and Student Center.
Before you can release a print job waiting in the copier queue, or if you need to make copies, you must have your Patriot Card, or a copy of the barcode printed on the front. If you do not have your Patriot Card, you will need to enter your username and password at the copier touchscreen. All student Patriot Cards have been pre-loaded but if the system doesn't find it, please see a Librarian.
Tap on the virtual keyboard icon on the upper right hand-corner.
You will get a prompt to enter in your Patriot Card.
Use the barcode scanner located on the right of the FFL copier to scan your Patriot Card's barcode.
If the barcode scanner is broken, you can also enter in your Patriot Card number. Please see a Librarian for that information.
Tap the OK
Once you are signed in, you should see your print job waiting. Tap on the "Print all" if you need to print without any options.
That's it ! Print job should be printing!

If you need to adjust duplex printing (two-sided), or if you have more than one print job and wish to only print one of them, tap the "Print Release."

SECTION III. COPYING
Before you can make copies, you must have your Patriot Card, or a copy of the barcode printed on the front. If you do not have your Patriot Card, please see one of the Librarians in FFL for your barcode. All student Patriot Cards have been pre-loaded but if the system doesn't find it, please see a Librarian.
Tap on the virtual keyboard icon on the upper right hand-corner.
You will get a prompt to enter in your Patriot Card.
Use the barcode scanner located on the right of the FFL copier to scan your Patriot Card's barcode.
If the barcode scanner is broken, you can also enter in your Patriot Card number. Please see the Librarian for that information.
Tap the OK
Tap on Access Device.
Tap Copy.
Remember this is a touch screen so scroll down to set your options.
Press Start to begin the copy.
Don't forget to sign-out of the copier for the next person!
