Step 1: Install Android Security Certificates
Before connecting to the Viewpoint Wi-Fi network, Android devices require one additional one-time step to install the Viewpoint security certificates. These certificates enable the security features that help protect the wireless network and provide secure access to school resources. This is a one-time installation and typically does not need to be repeated unless your device is replaced or reset.
Follow the steps below to install the certificates before continuing to Step 2.
Estimated time: 2–3 minutes
Note: During installation, Android may display one or more security prompts asking you to confirm the installation of the Viewpoint certificates. These prompts are expected.

Install both Root Certificates , linked here : Cisco Secure Access Root CA Exp_2099.cer
and Fortinet SSL Inspection SSL Inspection Root CA Exp_2043.cer to your Android device.(Also found at the end of this article)
- On some Android versions, you may get a prompt to Choose where to download, then tap Download.
- As you download the certificates, you might see this banner notifications - this is expected.
Do not click Open. - When you are done downloading both certificates you might see something like this - that is expected :
- Do NOT attempt to install the Certificate from here.
- Go to your Settings - the "gear" icon
- Swipe down until you see "Security and Privacy" (Samsung) / "Security & Privacy" (Pixel), tap that, then tap "More security settings" (Samsung) or "Other security settings" (older Samsung) then tap "Install from device storage" (Samsung) or "Encryption & credentials " then "Install a certificate" (Pixel).
- Or search for the certificate settings by typing in "cer" in the search box and tap "Certificate management app" then tap "Install from device storage"
- Tap CA Certificate (all Androids)
- Tap "Install anyway"
- On some Android you need to tap Downloads
- For EACH certificate file , tap the file name, then tap Done.

- On some Android , you see an additional prompt "Open with" tap "Always."

You will need to approve each certificate with either your fingerprint, or PIN.

Problems?
- If you attempt to install the certificate from Downloads folder or browser like Chrome, you will get this error message:
- Please go to the Settings and Certificate Management
